Certification Renewal
The purpose of certification renewal is to encourage our members to continue to stay educated in the newest research and techniques in the field, and to re-affirm the fitness safety principles that they learned in their initial certification.
Renewal Procedures for AAAI/ISMA
Your initial certification is valid for 2 years following your original certification date. After your initial certification expires you will need to renew your certification every year.
There are 2 requirements to renew a certification:
- 8 Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s)
- Payment of the $20 renewal fee
Attendance of any of our workshops or conferences earns 8 CEC’s. Members are not required to take the exam at the end of the workshop to obtain CEC’s. Obtaining 8 CEC’s will allow you to renew all of your certifications.
You must earn at least 8 CEC’s every year in order to renew. The 8 CEC’s
will renew all of your expiring certifications through AAAI/ISMA. All of the
AAAI/ISMA Conferences and workshops are worth 8 CEC’s.
